Those playing slap will enjoy the high-end bounce from hollowing out those mids on the EQ, but if you're just looking for a quick diversion from your regular tone the Contour control is a good shortcut. Those with passive pickups might need to tweak the tone filters here to get the best blend but finding it is not hard. GALLIEN KRUEGER BACKLINE 210 CABINET HOW TOHe will know how to verify the amp.A revoiced EQ, hugely versatile, similarly powered, the Little Marcus is a really big deal.Įngage the Overdrive feature and you'll find heaps of musical gain, that saturates nicely without every thinning out the tone, retaining plenty of the nuance of your bass. If none of this ideas help, I think it's time to take the amp to a tech. Have you already verified the amp with another cabinet (more powerful than the one you have now)? It seems to me that some GK amps are exceptions to this rule. Also I'm not sure whether middle position in GK corresponds to "neutral" frequency response. And tone controls modify the signal even more. You have to understand that signal from bass guitar is not a sinewave. GALLIEN KRUEGER BACKLINE 210 CABINET FULLIf you get clean sinewave at full power (I repeat: at full power), there is nothing wrong with the amp. The problem only seems to occur when playing low frequencies (bottom string) through the amp.As I said, you need to verify the amp in test environment (generator->amp->dummy load->oscilloscope). The sine wave from the bass is good both at low and high frequencies. GALLIEN KRUEGER BACKLINE 210 CABINET GENERATORRunning a tone generator into it produces a clean wave at 100hz & 1khz. The proper way to do it is to find out what is wrong and only then start spending money :-). The problem only seems to occur when playing low frequencies (bottom string) through the amp.Ĭontour is off & all tone controls are set mid way.So you already spent a lot of money and the problem is still there. I have already replaced the speakers (last post was a follow up from a month or two ago) and am having the same problem.Ĭontour is off & all tone controls are set mid way. If it's OK, you can verify the amp with external cab (you can borrow it instead of buying new speakers). Before you start replacing speakers you have to verify the amp. The signal looks like this because the input is not sinusoidal wave and maybe tone controls are not set to the middle position. The proper way to check the amp is to use a tone generator and a dummy load. A symmetrical sinewave sounds like cheap keyboard. If anyone has similar configuration - I'd welcome your comments on which way to go. Which would allow me to run the full 300w of the amp into the combo speakers.Īny pointers welcome, replace the speakers + leave room for an extension cab in the future or is it not worth it & should I replace the speakers and forgo the option of an extension cab in the future. Replace the existing speakers (Eminence LEGEND BP102 (8Ohm 200w) wired in parallel to drop the total load to 4Ohms. Replace the existing speakers (have seen some Eminence LEGEND BP102-4 (4Ohm 200w) which look like would make good replacements and still leave room for an extension cab later on if I wanted.Ĭ. Add an extension cab (not sure if I want to add an extra cab at this stage as the amp should be capable of delivering more power before the speakers start breaking up as it is) + it's heavy enough as it is.ī. If the existing speakers are breaking up at half volume, what route should I take:-Ī. So I'm wondering what to do as in my opinion, the built in speakers should be easily powerful enough to handle the 180watts the amp is advertised to deliver into 8Ohms at just about any volume + when plugging in an extra cab (1x15 or 2x10) to take the load down to 4Ohms, the amp should then be capable of delivering it's full 300watts. It's fine at lower volumes - just the attack when turned up. My problem is that whenever I play it at half volume (or more) the speakers start popping when I pluck the strings. It's rated at 300w into 4Ohms, has built in 2 x 10" speakers (total 8 Ohm load) and a spare jack on the back for an extension cab. I have a Gallien Krueger Backline 210 combo (bought late last year when I downsized my full rig to something more transportable). In fact, the breadth of knowledge you can acquire through a psychology master’s program is extensive-so extensive that you can start or advance all kinds of careers with a psychology degree, including those in education, research, marketing, and human resources. The above excerpt is a tiny taste of what you can study when you choose to be part of Walden’s master’s in psychology program. How a Master’s Degree in Psychology Can Help You Learn More This conflict creates anxiety, which could be dealt with by the ego’s use of defense mechanisms.Īnd that’s just the beginning. Parts of the unconscious mind (the id and superego) are in constant conflict with the conscious part of the mind (the ego). The superego incorporates the values and morals of society which are learned from one's parents and others. It is the decision-making component of personality. The ego develops in order to mediate between the unrealistic id and the external real world. It consists of all the inherited (i.e., biological) components of personality present at birth, including the sex (life) instinct – Eros (which contains the libido), and the aggressive (death) instinct – Thanatos. The id is the primitive and instinctive component of personality. In that article, McCloud explains the three aspects of id, ego, and superego by writing: In particular, students read Saul McLeod’s article “Psychodynamic Approach.” 1 In Walden’s MS in Psychology program, master’s in psychology students have the opportunity to study id, ego, and superego in-depth, including in the course Themes and Theories of Psychology. But the theory, research, and interpretations are complex and include Freud’s original work as well as the work of contemporary psychologists and mental health practitioners. If you were a psychology major, you likely studied the id, ego, and superego. And he saw our personalities as existing in three parts: the id, the ego, and the superego. conscious dynamic as the core aspect of our personality. In other words, Freud believed our differences stem from what’s happening below the surface of our psyches and how those forces interrelate/conflict with what’s happening in our conscious minds. While it was René Descartes who famously wrote, “I think, therefore I am,” it was Sigmund Freud who developed the first modern theories of how we think and what that means for our personalities and behaviors.Ĭalled psychodynamics, Freud’s theories and research centered on how the forces within us-particularly our unconscious-drive our personality and behaviors. The YAG laser capsule opening procedure is performed in these cases to place an opening in this “lens capsule”, which usually results in better vision, but can also cause floaters. After almost 50% of cataract surgery procedures that involve the implantation of intra-ocular lenses, the layer of tissue behind this lens becomes cloudy, causing a decrease in vision. Diseases such as pars planitis and uveitis can cause the formation of clumps of white blood cells (cells that the body produces when there is inflammation).įloaters can also appear after a YAG laser capsule opening procedure (capsulotomy). Rarely, floaters may be inflammatory in origin. Vascular disorders such as diabetic retinopathy and vein occlusion frequently result in bleeding inside the eye. Occasionally, the vitreous can pull on a blood vessel on the surface of the retina and cause bleeding without causing a tear of the retina. Such blood cells may occur with some retinal tears but do not necessarily indicate a tear. Pregnancy related high blood pressure (pre-eclampsia) can also cause light flashes.Ī: Some floaters are red blood cells or blood clots on the surface of the retina or floating in the vitreous. Low blood pressure can cause people to see stars or specks of light, particularly if they change position quickly. Blood flow problems can also occur with cervical spine problems, inflammation of the optic nerve, and hardening of the arteries, as well as very low blood pressure. Migraines are thought to be caused by blood flow disturbances to the visual part of the brain. Although patients describe this as occurring in one eye, in fact it occurs in the corresponding sides of the visual field in both eyes, as can be determined by covering one eye followed by the other when these are occurring. Flashes and floaters happen because of changes in the vitreous, the clear, jelly-like substance that fills the inside of your. Therefore, Chinese people always say the phrase “月圆人团圆, Yuè yuán rén tuányuán”, meaning “The full moon brings the full family.”įor that reason, Mid-Autumn Festival is also called “The Reunion Festival” (团圆节, Tuányuán jié). The shape of full moon “round” is “圆 (Yuán)” in Chinese, which symbolizes the word “reunion” (团圆, Tuányuán). Since its inception, Chinese people use this day to watch the bright full moon (满月, Mǎnyuè) with their family.īut how does the full moon and family reunion connect in Chinese culture? Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival held in appreciation of the moon and a way for families to reunite once a year. The term virtual world refers to agent-based, interactive environments, which can be created with CGI. #Maya renderman it camera render software#Availability of CGI software and increased computer speeds have allowed individual artists and small companies to produce professional-grade films, games, and fine art from their home computers. The evolution of CGI led to the emergence of virtual cinematography in the 1990s, where the vision of the simulated camera is not constrained by the laws of physics. The first music video to use CGI was Dire Straits' award-winning " Money for Nothing" (1985), whose success was instrumental in giving the process mainstream exposure. Other early films that incorporated CGI include Star Wars (1977), Tron (1982), Golgo 13: The Professional (1983), The Last Starfighter (1984), Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) and Flight of the Navigator (1986). The first feature film to make use of CGI was the 1973 film Westworld. CGI may be two-dimensional (2D), although the term "CGI" is most commonly used to refer to the 3-D computer graphics used for creating characters, scenes and special effects in films and television, which is described as "CGI animation". The images may be static ( still images) or dynamic ( moving images), in which case CGI is also called computer animation. Computer-generated imagery ( CGI) is the use of computer graphics to create or contribute to images in art, printed media, video games, simulators, and visual effects in films, television programs, shorts, commercials, and videos. |
